BIRNIE HOMESAFE “The Power’s On Us” Promotion Official Contest Rules and Regulations NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law. This Promotion is open only to legal residents of Ontario, Canada who meet the eligibility requirements below. 1. Promotion Period: The “The Power’s On Us” Promotion (the “Promotion”) begins on July 1, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. ET (the “Start Date”) and ends on December 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET] (the “End Date”), collectively the “Promotion Period.” Entries received before or after the Promotion Period will not be counted. 2. Sponsor: The Promotion is sponsored by Birnie Electric Limited, located at 2209 Dunwin Drive, Mississauga, ON L5L 1X1 (the “Sponsor”). 3. Eligibility: To be eligible to participate in the Promotion, an individual must, at the time of entry: 1. be a legal resident of the Province of Ontario, Canada; 2. have reached the age of majority in Ontario (18 years of age) as of the date of entry; 3. have a valid Ontario residential service address that is eligible to receive electrical inspection and repair services from the Sponsor; and 4. not be an employee, contractor, officer, or director of the Sponsor, or an immediate family member (parent, sibling, spouse, child) or member of the same household of such individual. Limit one (1) household per qualifying address for the purposes of the free in-home consultation entry. There is no limit on the number of entries an eligible individual may accumulate through the additional qualifying actions described in Section 4. 4. How to Enter During the Promotion Period, eligible individuals may earn one (1) entry into the draw (each, an “Entry”) for each of the following qualifying actions they complete. Entries are cumulative: an individual who completes more than one qualifying action will receive multiple Entries, increasing their chances of winning in proportion to the number of Entries earned. (a) Free Initial Consultation — No Purchase Necessary. Schedule and personally attend an in-home initial consultation with the Sponsor regarding an Electrical Risk Assessment, free of charge. One (1) Entry will be issued upon completion of the consultation appointment. Scheduling alone, without attendance or completion of the consultation, does not qualify for an Entry. This is the free, no-purchase-necessary method of entry available to all eligible individuals. (b) Electrical Risk Assessment (“ERA”) Completed. Purchase and complete a full Electrical Risk Assessment performed by the Sponsor. One (1) Entry will be issued upon completion of the ERA and delivery of the ERA report to the customer. (c) Repair of All Identified Hazards. Engage the Sponsor to complete repair of all electrical hazards identified in the customer’s ERA report. One (1) Entry will be issued upon the Sponsor’s written confirmation that all identified hazards have been remediated. (d) Successful Referral. Refer a friend, family member, or other individual (the “Referred Individual”) who is not already an existing customer of the Sponsor. The referring individual (the “Referrer”) will be issued one (1) Entry each time the Referred Individual completes any one of the qualifying actions described in subsections (a), (b), or (c) above, provided the Referred Individual identifies the Referrer at the time of booking or service. There is no limit on the number of Entries a Referrer may accumulate through multiple Referred Individuals or through a single Referred Individual completing multiple qualifying actions. The Referred Individual is also separately eligible to earn their own Entries under subsections (a) through (d), subject to meeting the eligibility requirements in Section 3. All qualifying actions must be completed, and supporting records kept by the Sponsor, within the Promotion Period to count toward the draw. The Sponsor’s records of completed consultations, ERAs, repairs, and referrals shall be considered conclusive for the purpose of determining Entries. 5. Prize There is one (1) prize available to be won (the “Prize”): Reimbursement for the winner’s residential electricity (“Hydro”) bills for a period of six (6) consecutive months following the prize notification date, up to a maximum total value of $2,000. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prize: $1,200, based on average Ontario residential Hydro billing for the applicable service area. Actual value may vary depending on the winner’s actual usage and is capped at the maximum stated above; the Sponsor is not responsible for amounts exceeding the stated maximum. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash, in whole or in part, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize, in whole or in part, with a prize of equal or greater value if the stated Prize becomes unavailable for any reason. 6. Random Draw and Odds One (1) random draw will be conducted on or about January 29 th / 2027 at the Sponsor’s offices located at 2209 Dunwin Drive, Mississauga, ON. The draw will be conducted by a representative of the Sponsor not otherwise involved in the administration of the Promotion. All eligible Entries accumulated during the Promotion Period will be entered into the draw. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received; as of the date of these Rules, the exact number of anticipated entries is unknown 7. Winner Notification and Verification The selected entrant (the “Potential Winner”) will be notified by telephone, email, or mail using the contact information on file within five (5) business days of the draw. The Potential Winner will be required to: 1. correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-based question, without assistance, mechanical or otherwise; 2. sign and return a Declaration and Release of Liability confirming eligibility and compliance with these Rules within seven (7) calendar days of notification; and 3. provide proof of identity and Ontario residency at the qualifying service address. If the Potential Winner cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, fails to respond within the time allotted, fails the skill question, or does not meet eligibility requirements, the Prize may be forfeited and an alternate entrant may be selected from the remaining eligible Entries, time permitting. 8. General Conditions By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process, violating these Rules, or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the Promotion if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Promotion. 9. Limitation of Liability By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any liability, loss, or damage arising from participation in this Promotion or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. 10. Privacy Personal information collected in connection with this Promotion will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Promotion, contacting entrants, and fulfilling the Prize, in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
